TM DESIGN

TM Design was established in 2000 in Toronto to offer the high-end residential client a truly bespoke interior. Every project is tailor-made to reflect individual clients and to help realize their unique needs, addressing lifestyle, geographic location and architectural integrity.

The firm adheres to the philosophy of seamless integration of architecture and interior design, employing the highest quality materials and furnishings, coupled with inventive interpretations of traditional as well as contemporary detailing and craftsmanship.

In 2010 Timothy Mather moved to London and set up Timothy Mather Design to better serve his expanding international client base. From refitting a Falcon jet and a Riva boat to designing a small 650-square foot flat in Chelsea and working on custom-built residences from 10,000 to 30,000 square feet. No project is too big or too small.

TM Design has completed residences in Holland Park and Hampstead . A large flat in The Bolton’s, a two storey Penthouse in Verbier Switzerland. Recently we have completed three new Penthouse Terrace Suites and four Luxury Suites at The Marylebone Hotel.

Our current projects include two custom-built large scale residences outside of Toronto  Canada. A  Regency period Townhouse in Dublin and  a Regency period Manor House outside of Dublin.  A full renovation and Interior Design of a four floor residence in Parsons Green  London.

We are very excited that our relationship with the Doyle Collection has expanded from The Marylebone Hotel to also include The Kensington Hotel London, The Westbury Hotel Dublin and The Dupont Circle Hotel Washington.

CLIENT FEEDBACK

"My husband and I were extremely fortunate that we had the opportunity to work with Tim.  Prior to even calling my husband after I saw the flat for first time, I called Tim.

Though I think I have a good eye, Tim could see the extraordinary potential of the space which made me, and ultimately my husband, extremely confident in putting forth an offer and ultimately closing on what was to become our new home.

Next came the harder part: the actual refurbishment.  Tim was thoughtful in his suggestions, both design-wise and in terms of staying within our budget, was able to brilliantly guide us throughout the process and worked hand-in-hand with our contractor and his team.

Tim was efficient, quick to respond both to phone calls and emails and in making in making decisions and always had a "plan B" (and oftentimes a plan C and a plan D!)

He has tremendous style and can shift from traditional to modern and back again.  Tim consistently utilised what London, Europe and North America had to offer in order to expand his own design aesthetic and kept it fresh and interesting.

Importantly, Tim made me, my husband and our two daughters comfortable that the flat was in keeping with our own style and way that we wanted to live.

I have already recommended Tim to many of my friends and will continue to do so."
